Do you treat Veterans and bill TriWest?
Reports this week from across Alaska are stating that spinal CMT is being denied. Conversations with TriWest customer service have advised us that TriWest is now requiring the AT modifier for active treatment to be attached to CMT 98940, 98941, and 98942. We cannot find any reference to this in the Provider Pulse. No offices were informed of this that we know, and we do not have written confirmation.
TriWest has advised offices to submit denied services as corrected claims for reprocessing. Please watch your EOB’s and if you have more information, please reach out to share with us. Stay tuned for information as we work on gathering a formal statement.
