Dear ACS Members,
Attached please find recommended changes to our Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, presented in both a marked-up version (showing proposed edits) and a clean version (showing the final language). It has been some time since these documents were last updated, and we believe these changes are necessary to keep them current and aligned with the needs of our Society.
Please cast your vote as soon as possible so we can complete tallying before convention. Voting closes September 18, 2026.
Your participation matters because ACS is your professional society. The time members invest — through voting, board service, and participation in meetings and events — directly benefits you and your colleagues. Together, we navigate the everyday realities of running a small business: insurance, employment responsibilities, and the demands of practice, all while staying focused on our most important work of providing quality health services to the people who need them.
While the Alaska Board of Chiropractic Examiners licenses doctors and establishes the statutes and regulations that protect patient safety, the Alaska Chiropractic Society exists to serve you — our physicians and their offices. Our role is to protect your right to practice at the full scope of your education and training, support your office staff, monitor changes in legislation, insurance, and business practices, and advocate on your behalf in countless other ways. This is why membership, engagement, and board service are so vital to our profession’s future.
To every member who recognizes the value of ACS — thank you. To every past and present board member who has served and supported your colleagues — thank you. Serving on the ACS Board is a rewarding way to give back to your profession, and there are many benefits to getting involved.
